Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Palmdale Residents Directory handles the small amount of information connected with use of this private reference. The directory points to Los Angeles County, California, and Palmdale records, but it does not keep those government records and does not require an account.

Information You Submit

Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered into the search widgets are sent to the third-party provider that supplies the sponsored results. Palmdale Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search entries on its own servers. If you contact the operator, the message and any details you include are used to respond and to address the request.

Routine Technical Logs

Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, referral information, and timestamps. Those records are reviewed in aggregate for security, uptime, and page improvement. Basic cookies or similar tools may support analytics or advertising measurement if such services are enabled.

How Information Is Used

Information is used to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the reference, answer messages, understand aggregate readership, and address technical failures. The operator does not sell visitor lists or build a personal profile of an individual visitor from the site's own records.

External Record Portals

Links lead to the Los Angeles County Assessor, Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, Elections Division, Superior Court, California Department of Public Health, Palmdale GIS, libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. Information submitted to an outside portal is governed by that provider's policy and terms. Sponsored results are supplied by a third party rather than by the county or city.

Who May Process Data

Hosting and technical service providers may process server logs to keep the pages running. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the limited automatic information described above. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it. No disclosure is made merely because a person asks for another visitor's data.

Security and Retention

Pages are served over an encrypted connection where supported, and technical logs are kept only for the operational, security, or measurement purpose that requires them. There are no user accounts here, so the operator does not hold a site password or resident profile for a visitor.

Visitors Under 18

The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operator does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information through a contact channel, a parent or guardian may use the Contact page to request review and deletion of information the operator controls.

California Privacy Rights

Depending on coverage and exemptions, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following, may provide rights to know, correct, delete, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and opt out of sale or sharing. The California Attorney General's CCPA guidance explains the state framework. The operator keeps very little visitor information, so a request may result in a search of the contact mailbox and available technical logs.

California's public-records law, the California Public Records Act in Government Code division 10, sections 7920.000-7931.000, applies to records held by public agencies, not to this private reference. Government Code section 7922.535 generally addresses an agency's ten-day determination. Requests to remove or correct a Palmdale, Los Angeles County, or California record must go to the custodian that holds it. Use the Contact page for a privacy request concerning information controlled here.

Policy Changes

A revised policy will be posted here with its updated wording. Continued use after publication of a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy to the extent allowed by law.
