Terms of Use

These terms set the conditions for using Palmdale Residents Directory. Accessing or using the pages means that you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the reference or its search links.

1. Nature of This Reference

Palmdale Residents Directory is a privately operated reference about public rolls, record indexes, maps, and directory collections connected with Palmdale, California. It links to Los Angeles County and state resources but does not host government records and is not affiliated with any public office, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Permitted and Prohibited Use

Use the pages and any information found through them only for lawful purposes. You may not use the reference or an external tool reached through it to:

  • stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, impersonate, or harm another person;
  • locate a person who is protected by a restraining or protective order;
  • commit fraud, identity theft, or another unlawful act;
  • make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including a credit, employment, housing, insurance, or similar decision;
  • scrape, republish, or systematically copy the pages at scale; or
  • interfere with the security, availability, or operation of the reference.

3. No Consumer Report

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Neither the material on these pages nor a result returned by a linked search tool is a consumer report. None may be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by that law.

4. Outside Links and Providers

Los Angeles County portals, Palmdale GIS, California agencies and courts, libraries, archives, and sponsored search providers control their own websites, fees, terms, privacy practices, and availability. Palmdale Residents Directory does not guarantee an external service or accept responsibility for its content or data handling.

5. No Promise of Accuracy

The reference is supplied on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Records, links, coverage dates, fees, and office procedures can change. No warranty is made that a page is complete, current, error-free, or available at every moment.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of the reference or an external resource, including an action taken because of a record found through a linked source.

7. Your Responsibility

You agree to defend and indemnify the operators against a claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your unlawful use of the reference or violation of these terms.

8. Original Material

The original wording, layout, logo, and design are protected intellectual property. Ordinary linking and brief attributed quotation are welcome. Full-page republication and systematic copying are not permitted without written authorization.

9. Revisions

New wording may be posted by replacing the version on this page. Continuing to use the reference after a revision is posted means that you accept the revised terms to the extent allowed by law.

10. Access Restrictions

The operators may block, limit, or suspend access for conduct that violates these terms, abuses the service, or threatens its security. Such action may occur without advance notice.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms, without applying its conflict-of-law rules. Public-record questions are informed by the California Public Records Act, Government Code division 10, sections 7920.000-7931.000, including the determination rule in section 7922.535. Privacy questions may also implicate the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following. Those statutes govern public agencies or covered businesses as applicable, not this reference's ability to alter a custodian's record.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The invalid provision will be limited only as much as needed to make it enforceable where possible.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Record requests should go directly to the custodian named on the relevant Palmdale page.
